As the seasons pass do we grow ever closer to decay,
but as I wait I begin to dream a million miles away.

A lifetime spent in a single second gaze,
The only set of eyes to leave me in a daze.

I felt glory within that honey patch,
With an aura that transcends that of an aristocrat.

Uncut diamonds forever sparkle behind your eyes,
What dreams may come for you to realize.

We could treat life as if it is your birthday daily
RSVP with a yes or no, but no maybe

I could care less about ragtime culture,
wealthy socialites, or even the common vulture.

I keep my dreams to myself while keeping it pure,
Better myself as I wait on a love that will endure.

I love the way you make me love,
I love the way you make me shine.
